Bawcom Books started a few years ago when Jade was trying to decide what to give her friends’ daughter as a birthday gift. Having frequently recited the short poem that is now Two Fat Cats and Their Search for a Snack to her husband, Morgan, she was encouraged to illustrate the story and turn it into a true children’s story.

Ever since self-publishing her first book, Jade has realized how much the kids in her life enjoy it. She frequently gives a copy of the book to her friends’ children when they come over to visit. Over time she’s received multiple texts from friends telling her how much their kids enjoy the book and request it at bedtime and choose it as a favorite to take with them on various excursions.

Jade hopes to continue expanding the Two Fat Cats line, with more exciting adventures to come. Jade holds an M.S. in Data Analytics and works in market research for her primary job. She is looking forward to dedicating more time to Bawcom Books in the future, though, and can’t wait to see how much other kiddos enjoy her book.
